The Symbolism Behind Ariana Grande's New Single, "Yes, And?"

Ariana Grande released her new single, "Yes, And?" as a long-awaited response to the backlash surrounding her recent controversy, as well as a message to the masses that there is no longer an Ariana Grande; she has been replaced by a new persona who is more willing to carry out the elites' nefarious agendas.

One could argue that the song is Ariana's response to the backlash she has received for her relationship with Ethan Slater, which could be true. However, given the numerous subliminal messages I discovered in the music video alone, I would have to say it is much deeper than that.

Of course, the cover of the single features a one-eye symbol.

Let's take a look at the video.

Please note: Words in red are links and footnotes for the reader to become further educated on the topic being discussed.

Yes, and?

The video begins with a 'exclusive' patron reading a note that says, "Your presence has been exclusively requested."

What do all these individuals have in common? They are having a difficult time embracing the new Ariana Grande.

The Time

This angel number foreshadows both the video and how we perceive her in real life.

1155 is a number of expansions and new beginnings. If you see the number 1155, the angels are telling you a new, powerful love will manifest in your life soon. However, it will likely be someone you don't expect. Be open to new possibilities and allow yourself to be romanced by new ideas and people.

Ariana's use of 1155 and the rhyme "The critics arrive" is also symbolic, possibly referring to the nursery rhyme "Hickory Dickory Dock".

The song "Hickory Dickory Dock" is said to be about perseverance and fear

Every time the clock strikes a new hour, it can feel like quitting time. But as the little engine that could and the mouse in “Hicky Dickoy Dock” teaches us, if at first, you don’t succeed, try, try again.

In addition, Ariana Grande is subliminally referring to herself as a mouse or more like a hamster on a wheel.

The idiom 'hamster on a wheel' refers to a person or persons who feel as if they work tirelessly for no tangible results

She demonstrates this at the end of the video when she returns to a statue after completing a full performance only to have to repeat it all over again.

Furthermore, her lyrics read,

Dancing on, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keepDancing on, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keepDancing on, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keep, I keepGonna be at, I know, gonna be at the door

Reiterating that she must persevere, do her job, and forget she is human.

Of course, on the surface, she may be paying homage to her newfound Broadway niche by having to perform the same thing multiple times, but I feel it goes deeper than that.

MK Ultra Programming

I hate to say it but she is hinting towards Mk Ultra programming using a puzzle-piece platform.

This is also seen in her music video, No Tears Left to Cry.  She also shows herself changing faces. This is also an example of MK Ultra Programming because it represents adopting new personas.

Some books about MK Ultra feature a puzzle piece as their logo. It represents the victims of MK Ultra's programming's need to comprehend and accept their new identities.

Which leads to my next observation.

I Am You and You Are Me

Since the patrons are having a hard time embracing the new Ariana Grande, not only are they her audience during her performance but they also symbolically represent Ariana Grande and how she sees herself.

She is confused yet determined to embrace the new her since there is no more Ariana.  But, she has to see herself from a different perspective now.

This is evident when she signs,

And healin' from somebody
Or somethin' we don't see just right

She no longer sees herself in the same way she did before. Now she sees herself as a product of society.

This is why she portrays herself as an artifact in a museum. What do people do at museums? Look at art. They also pick, probe, and ask questions about the artwork.

This depiction tells us what it's like to be Ariana Grande. While she is admired, fame is very intrusive and causes her to want to dissociate. Not to mention that she, like us, is struggling to accept the new her as a result of MK programming.

Her statue breaking just before she appears is symbolic.

Ariana depicts dissociation from her true self to become the famous Ariana Grande.  The one meant to push the elites' agendas.

Covering of Both Eyes?

This hand gesture looks similar to Katy Perry's album cover Witness

This album cover features the one-eye symbol, with both of Katy Perry's eyes covered. The album itself includes songs such as Bonn Appetite, which promotes cannibalism, Chained to the Rhythm, which exposes the elite and is intended to "wake people up," and visuals that pay homage to the film Neon Demon, which reveals the dark side of the fashion industry.

Witness is an electropop album with lyrics about feminism and self-empowerment that explores dance and EDM genres, according to Wikipedia. Perry called it a "liberation" record and "purposeful pop" record.

"Yes, and?" by Ariana Grande is an empowerment anthem. This song probably sets the tone for the rest of the album's message because it's the single off her new album, Eternal Sunshine.

Now, let's delve further. From here on out, it gets much more complicated.

The Agenda

Before I continue I would like to make something clear: The conclusions expressed in the article are objective. I am speaking from the perspective of the elite.

Ariana is making it clear that she is to cause chaos. Things that others say are 'wrong' she thinks is right. And she is saying that sh*t with her chest.

For example, she says:

Boy, come on, put your lipstick on (no one can tell you nothin')
Come on and walk this way through the fire (don't care what's on their mind)

She understands that most people reject the gender-bending agenda that the elite is attempting to impose since these ideas lead to conflict and dysfunction.

Her role is to inspire someone to be authentic and start a chain reaction. While being aware that this specific action will annoy some people.

Men acting feminine or wearing "lipstick"  is considered a " sin' to some.  Hence why she refers to "fire" in reference to Hell.

The Seven Deadly Sins

The statues around Ariana represent the seven deadly sins:

The two men that look like they are fighting represent Wrath.

The male statue that is kneeling with this hand behind his back represents Greed.

The plus-size woman represents Gluttony.

The group of three women represents Envy because we can infer they are gossiping about someone.

The statue sitting on the stairs represents Sloth.

The one laying on the floor holding themselves represents Lust or self-pleasure.

The one that is holding its face while sitting down on the floor represents pride.

To be honest, I am not sure what Ariana is trying to say here, other than her dancers symbolize people who criticize her.  Basically say, 'You are no better than I am'.   Since she is standing right in the middle with her eyes closed.

Covering your eyes and face could represent shame

The Arch of Hysteria

Neurologists influenced the Arch of Hysteria, also known as the Arc de Cercle. The sculpture is said to represent a "hysterical" patient.

Here's a link from Reddit to all of the ways this sculpture has been referenced in media and propaganda. It's really disturbing.

This sculpture appears in films such as The Exorcist, The Ring, The Neon Demon, the Freddy Kruger franchise, and even music videos like this one.

It's strange how this particular sculpture is glamorized in pop culture and depicted in so many forms of visual art.

I'll eventually go into detail about the sculpture's occultic significance in another article.

One of her dancers does the Arch of Hysteria.

Not to mention the lyric video consists of some more of her dancers doing the same pose. For example:

I did! I noticed, Ariana 🤓 ☝

They Descend into Hell

At this point, the patrons start to get hot which leads them to start taking off their garments.

This symbolizes them- quite literally warming up to the new Ariana.

Symbolically, Ariana and her dancers are the only ones who do not get hot. That's because she's the creator of the "hell" they've descended into by watching her performance. This features a dualistic black-and-white color scheme.

As well as gender-blurring concepts. Things that are perceived as controversial as of recently.

The woman wears pants and the man wears a skirt.

We also see evidence of Ariana playing the ruler of the Hell because she is blessing the audience [sitting under the red light] by touching them.

After this, Ariana prepares for the next guest to arrive by returning to stone, at which point she has to repeat the entire performance.

The patrons leave happy, while new guests arrive just as perplexed as the previous group.

One man shouted, "They'll love it!"

I believe this is the same man {judging by the voice} who criticized Ariana's other ways of earning income aside from music and touring at the beginning of the video.

Just for fun, I'd have to guess Ariana is foreshadowing another major launch of something or she might surprise her fans with a World Tour.

Ariana Grande is going to do another world tour.

What is she trying to say?

Ariana Grande is trying to say that the change that you are witnessing was something that was meant to happen and she too is trying to embrace it.

She is also, telling you why she changed.  It is because she had to. With the Hickory Dickory Dock reference, she is indirectly referring to herself as a "rat".

What happens with Rats? They get experimented on, and they are used as pawns to appease the masses.  See: Testing on rats

The statues of her dancers in the introduction represent those who criticized her for the controversy, while the exclusive patrons reflect Ariana's feelings about her new persona.  She is initially scared and confused but eventually comes to like the new her. This gives her the confidence to continue doing her job, which is to use her influence to encourage a domino effect of chaos among the masses.

How?

If she encourages people to be controversial by using her controversy to create an "empowerment anthem," this results in a great deal of fighting and disagreement.

Hence why, the video (and the song's lyrics) blame YOU for holding her accountable, and how dare you have the audacity to point out the fact that she has changed.

My personal opinion

I am currently in my electro-pop, techno- Poker Face by Lady Gaga pop phase and so I absolutely loved the song.  But, the purpose of this article is to a matter of me noticing something and then talking about it. I am not slandering her in any way.

The video was amazing. This is one of my favorite videos by her along with, Thank U, Next, and No Tears Left to Cry.

My favorite part of the video was when she went back to a statue for the next group to join her.  This is when we realize that what we just witnessed is a cycle.  Golden!

I had to have watched the video 20 million times. Half of those views were because of me I swear!

With any of the articles I write, it all begins with me showing interest in the topic we're discussing, which leads to the desire to write about my observations.

My intention is never really to slander any of these public figures.

If I am trying to,  you WILL know for sure.

I was never really that much of a fan of Ariana but her most recent video, song, and new era made me have more appreciation for some of her greatest hits!

Nonetheless, the video concept was a brilliant way to convey her message in an aesthetically pleasing manner, and I honestly wish Ariana the best of luck with her AG7 journey.
